Description:  A vulnerability was reported in Adobe PageMaker. A user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system.

A user can trigger a buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability resides in 'MAIPM6.dll'.

Tan Chew Keong of vuln.sg reported this vulnerability.

[Editor's note: The Adobe advisory does not describe an exploit vector, but indicates that the vulnerability is not remotely exploitable. It is not clear if a remotely created file or filename can trigger the overflow or if local user access is required to trigger the overflow.]

Impact:  A user can execute arbitrary code on the target user's system.
