Description:  A vulnerability was reported in F-Secure Internet Gatekeeper. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system.

A remote user can create a specially crafted LHA archive or other archive or packed executable that, when processed by the target application, will trigger a buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system. The code will run with the privileges of the target user.

The vendor credits Tavis Ormandy in Google Security Team and Sergio Alvarez of n.runs AG with discovering these vulnerabilities.

Impact:  A remote user can create a file that, when processed by the target application, will execute arbitrary code on the target user's system.
Solution:  The vendor has issued a fix. A patch matrix is available in the F-Secure advisories.
