Description: A vulnerability was reported in Mozilla Firefox. A remote user can conduct cross-site scripting attacks.
A remote user can create specially crafted URLs or HTML that, when loaded by a target user, may cause arbitrary scripting code to
be executed by the target user's browser.
The browser does not properly process invalid trailing characters in HTML tag attributes.
This may foil web sites content filters that attempt to remove certain attributes such as event handlers.
The browser assumes
that child frames should inherit the character set of the parent window rather than the default setting used for top-level pages.
Sites that accept user content but do not specify the character set or encoding to be used may be able to conduct cross-site scripting
attacks.
In addition, blocked popups can be used to conduct cross-site scripting attacks or access local files in certain cases.

Impact: A remote user can access the target user's cookies (including authentication cookies), if any, associated with certain sites, access
data recently submitted by the target user via web form to the site, or take actions on the site acting as the target user.
A
remote user may be able to access local files.

Solution: The vendor has issued fixed versions (1.5.0.10, 2.0.0.2).
