Description: A vulnerability was reported in Mozilla Firefox. A remote user may be able to cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system.
A remote user can create specially crafted HTML that, when loaded by the target user, will trigger a memory corruption error, causing
the browser to crash or potentially execute arbitrary code on the target system. The code will run with the privileges of the target
user.
Thunderbird and SeaMonkey are also affected.
Jesse Ruderman, Martijn Wargers, and Olli Pettay reported crashes in the
layout engine [CVE-2007-0775].
Tom Ferris reported a heap overflow in SVG triggered by wide stroke widths, affecting only Firefox
version 2.x [CVE-2007-0776].
Brian Crowder, Igor Bukanov, Johnny Stenback, moz_bug_r_a4, and shutdown reported potential memory
corruption errors in the JavaScript engine [CVE-2007-0777].
|
Impact: A remote user can create HTML that, when loaded by the target user, will cause the target user's browser to crash or execute arbitrary code.
|
Solution: The vendor has issued a fix (1.5.0.10, 2.0.0.2).
