Version(s): 2000 SP4, 2003 SP2, XP SP2; and prior service packs
Description:  A vulnerability was reported in the Microsoft MFC component. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system.

A remote user can create a specially crafted OLE object within a Rich Text Format file that, when processed by the target user, will trigger a memory corruption error and execute arbitrary code on the target system. The code will run with the privileges of the target user.

Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2002 and 2003 are affected.

Microsoft credits Kostya Kortchinsky of Immunity, Inc. and Fabrice Desclaux from EADS Common Research Center with reporting this vulnerability.

Impact:  A remote user can create a file that, when loaded by the target user, will execute arbitrary code on the target user's system.
