Description: A vulnerability was reported in Microsoft Windows Defender. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system.
A remote user can create a specially crafted PDF file that, when processed by the target system, will trigger an integer overflow
in the Microsoft Malware Protection Engine (mpengine.dll) and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The Microsoft Malware
Protection Engine component of Windows Live OneCare, Microsoft Antigen for Exchange, Microsoft Antigen for SMTP Gateway 9.x, Microsoft
Forefront Security for Exchange Server, and Microsoft Forefront Security for SharePoint is also affected.

Impact: A remote user can create a PDF file that, when prcessed by the target system, will execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Solution: The vendor has issued a fix, available automatically via the Windows Defender automatic update feature. The corrected version number
is Microsoft Antivirus engine build number 1.1.2101.0 or above.
A restart is not required.
