Description: A vulnerability was reported in ProFTPD. A remote authenticated user can execute arbitrary code on the target system.
A remote authenticated user can send specially crafted data to execute arbitrary code on the target system. The code will run with
the privileges of the target service (typically root privileges).
The vulnerability resides in the sreplace() function in 'src/support.c'.
A
demonstration exploit (as part of the commercial VulnDisco Pack for Metasploit) is available from GLEG Ltd.
This vulnerability
was reported by Evgeny Legerov.
