Description:  A vulnerability was reported in Orion Application Server. A remote user can view JSP source code.

The software does not properly validate user-supplied filename extensions. A remote user can supply a specially crafted URL containing dot and space characters to view the source code of JSP files on the target system.

Only Windows-based systems are affected.

The vendor was notified on February 17, 2006.

Tan Chew Keong of Secunia Research discovered this vulnerability.

Impact:  A remote user can view JSP source code.
Solution:  The vendor has issued a fixed version (2.0.7).

3) Description of Vulnerability

Secunia Research has discovered a vulnerability in Orion Application
Server, which can be exploited by malicious people to disclose
potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability is caused due to a validation error of the filename
extension supplied by the user in the URL. This can be exploited to
retrieve the source code of JSP files from the server via
specially-crafted requests containing dot and space characters.

The vulnerability affects only the Windows platform.
