Description:  A vulnerability was reported in Microsoft Office. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system.

A remote user can create a specially crafted Office file containing a specially crafted string that, when parsed by the target user's Office application, will trigger a buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system. The code will run with the privileges of the target user.

A remote user can also create a specially crafted Office file containing a specially crafted property that, when processed by the target user's Office application, will trigger a buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Microsoft credits Elia Florio of Symantec with reporting one of these vulnerabilities.

Impact:  A remote user can create an Office file that, when loaded by the target user, will execute arbitrary code on the target user's system.
Solution:  The vendor has issued the following fixes:
