Description: A vulnerability was reported in IBM eGatherer. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system.
A remote user can create specially crafted HTML that, when loaded by the target user, will trigger a stack overflow in the RunEgatherer()
function in the ActiveX control and execute arbitrary code on the target system. The code will run with the privileges of the target
user.
The software is installed by default on some IBM workstations and laptops.
The vendor was notified on July 3, 2006.
