Description:
A vulnerability was reported in xine. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target system.
The player contains two format string vulnerabilities. A remote user can create a playlist with a filepath that contains a specially crafted format string specifier that, when loaded by the target user, will execute arbitrary code on the target system. The code will run with the privileges of the target user.
The flaw resides in 'src/xitk/main.c'.
