Description:  A vulnerability was reported in Squid. A remote user can cause Squid to crash.

The rfc1738_do_escape() function does not properly process certain "odd" FTP server responses. A remote FTP server can supply specially crafted responses to a connect FTP client to cause Squid to crash.

Impact:  A remote user can cause Squid to crash.
Solution:  The vendor has issued a patch (patch squid-2.5.STABLE11-rfc1738_do_escape.patch), available at:
