Description: A vulnerability was reported in Symantec Firewall/VPN Appliance. A remote user can cause denial of service conditions.
The device does not properly validate Internet Key Exchange (IKE) packets. A remote user can send specially crafted ISAKMP packets
to trigger a buffer overflow and cause the ISAKMP daemon to crash. This will cause the dynamic VPN services to become unavailable.
A
test suite developed by the University of Oulu Secure Programming Group (OUSPG) was used to discover these vulnerabilities.
