Exploit Included: Yes
Vendor Confirmed: Yes

Description: A vulnerability was reported in the McAfee Security Management System console. A remote authenticated user can gain elevated privileges.
The 'intrushield/intruvert/jsp/systemHealth/SystemEvent.jsp' script does not properly validate user-supplied input in the 'thirdMenuName'
and 'resourceName' parameters. A remote user can submit specially crafted input that, when viewed by a target user, will cause
arbitrary scripting code to be executed by the target user's browser. The code will originate from the site running the vulnerable
software and will run in the security context of that site. As a result, the code will be able to access the target user's cookies
(including authentication cookies), if any, associated with the site, access data recently submitted by the target user via web
form to the site, or take actions on the site acting as the target user.
A remote authenticated user can set the 'fullAccessRight'
parameter of the 'reports-column-center.jsp' script from 'false' to 'true' to gain access to the 'Generate Reports' section.
A
remote authenticated user can also set the 'fullAccess' option of the 'SystemEvent.jsp' script from 'false' to 'true' to acknowledge,
de-acknowledge, and delete alerts from the target console.
A remote authenticated user can conduct a brute force attack against
the '/intruvert/jsp/menu/disp.jsp' script and supply a series of 'userId' parameter values to identify privileged accounts.
