Description:  A vulnerability was reported in the Mozilla browser in the XPInstall engine installer. A remote user may be able to execute arbitrary code.

The InstallTrigger object and other XPInstall-related javascript objects do not properly validate certain calling data. A remote user can create HTML that supplies specially crafted objects to cause the javascript interpreter to potentially execute arbitrary code.

Georgi Guninski reported this vulnerability.

Impact:  A remote user may be able to execute arbitrary code on the target user's system.
Solution:  The vendor has issued a fixed version (1.7.7), available at:
