Mac OS Runtime for Java Permits Unauthorized Applets to Access the System Clipboard

Description:  Apple reports that versions of Mac OS Runtime for Java (MRJ) contain a vulnerability that may disclose user information to remote users.

The vulnerability permits unauthorized Java applets to access to the system clipboard.

The nature of the vulnerability was not reported by the vendor.

Impact:  A remote user could, via a Java applet, obtain information from the system clipboard.
Solution:  The vendor has released a fixed version (2.2.5). See the Vendor URL for the fixed version.
